Fortnite is an online battle royale game where dozens of players meet on one giant map and fight each other. What sets Fortnite apart from traditional “battle royale” games like PUBG and the like is a more fun atmosphere and colorful, slightly cartoonish graphics. Here you start a battle with a pickaxe, extract resources, build shelters and use them to defeat other players. Playing in the company of friends is a lot of fun.
The game was announced in 2011, but the release happened only on July 25, 2017. Two companies implemented the development of Fortnite – Epic Games and People Can Fly. Gameplay Review
The computer game “Fortnite” has two parts. The first is a story about the conditions of survival after the apocalypse. The epidemic turned the bulk of humanity into zombies. But some still do not want to become the living dead. They band together and try to make their way through the hordes of bloodthirsty monsters to the arrival point of the evacuation team.
The second part is Battle Royale. Matches involve 100 players each. The version was released in 2017 and immediately won the hearts of millions of fans of computer games. Consider both modes of the game.
Survival
The player enters as one of the survivors. PvE mode is designed in a classic version of survival horror. Gamers play alone or join groups of 2, 3, or 4 people. To save a life will require:
- Shoot back at monsters, and look for weapons, ammo, and uniforms.
- To eat – to find food.
- Build a protective fort. The location has all the necessary materials (wood, metal, stones).
- Go for tricks – to invent traps for zombies.
The player must turn the character into an invincible monster-slaying machine. By completing missions, he earns rewards, pumps up the hero’s skills, and finds more powerful weapons.
After the battles, the fort has to be repaired. During breaks, the character works on finding materials to rebuild his hideout, as well as coming up with new traps.
PvP gameplay
The battle royal is in full swing. Who will be the winner? The match will decide. Each game is a military battle in which 100 people take part. The task is to survive, and the goal is to win. In the beginning, the player is given a character to play for.
The battle takes place on an island where players arrive by Battle Bus, landing on the ground using hang gliders. At the time of landing, their weapons are a pickaxe. With it, they must procure other weapons for themselves and take down as many opponents as possible. The opponents meet the newcomers with a barrage of machine-gun fire; the initial task of the player is to find a weapon and start fighting quickly.
How not to get killed in the first seconds after landing
First, while the character is flying, you must examine the map and decide where to land. Each zone provides resources to continue the game. The most successful areas are marked on the map. For the possession of them will begin the first battle between the players.
Therefore, tip #1 is to avoid crowds of enemies as much as possible. It is better to visit the exact location several times to study it thoroughly.
Until the newcomer gets the hang of it, it is not recommended for him to choose the following locations:
- Tilted Towers;
- Haunted Hills;
- Shifty Shafts.
Tilted Towers – Fortnite bloodbath
Where the resources are, there is always knee-deep blood. There used to be a big city in this area. Now it’s just a ruin. The coordinates of the place are marked between the lake and the mountains, D5/D6. Here are most buildings, rooms, and chests with things and weapons. Behind every window, an opponent may lurk, wanting to win the Battle Royale.
At the same time – it is a great place to ambush and dispose of most of the enemies. The city was constantly subjected to destruction. A meteorite fell on it, and it was subjected to seismic attacks. In 2019, the site was renamed Neo Tilted.
Haunted Hills is an iconic place of death.
The coordinates on the map are B2. There used to be a cemetery here. Today – it is quite a remarkable place. Farm buildings, a church, and a sizeable haunted castle stand directly on the hill. Numerous tombstones, as well as windows, can serve as a hiding place for enemies. The probability of a beginner being killed in this area is up to 99%.
Shifty Shafts.
The site is on the edge of the location, but that doesn’t make it any less safe. The area of the former underground mine is littered with shacks, buildings, cages, and abandoned trucks. It’s a great place to play shootout with crafty opponents.
Tip #2 – don’t look for shortcuts. After landing, do the following:
- find the building;
- pick up loot (weapons, bonus grenades, first-aid kit);
- move around the edge of the location;
- enter the “Eye of the Storm” circle in the last rows.
This will keep you safe from a sudden attack from behind and help you avoid an imminent collision with other players.
Tip #3 is to keep a lookout; stealth mode is designed just for this purpose.
Tip #4 is to take your time. There’s never a line for the “other world.” So let everyone kill each other as much as possible. When 10-15 participants are left, you can use all the arsenal you’ve prepared.
What must help to win
By the final battle, the player must be armed with three weapons:
- shotgun;
- machine gun;
- sniper rifle.
Other weapons such as grenade launcher or pistol will also not hurt.
