Caliber is an unconventional online 3rd-person shooter with a division of fighters into classes. Battles take place in a four-on-four format. There are also PVE modes of different difficulty levels, where four players must cooperatively perform various missions: to clear sectors, free hostages, and other similar.

Gameplay review
Caliber has 2 game modes – PVE and PVP. In PVE mode, players go through special cooperative missions, and in PVP, they fight in a 4-on-4 format. The squad always consists of 4 operators of different classes.
Operators and classes
In the game “Caliber,” the player controls a 3rd person operator. There are 4 classes of operators:
- Assault Operator uses automatic assault rifles and has increased mobility, sometimes armed with an under-barrel grenade launcher and sometimes with a throwing knife.
- Support. An armored and hardy but slow-moving operator class serves as both a tanker and a damager. They are often armed with a shield or heavy machine gun with severe damage.
- Medic. Armored and mobile, but low damage. The medic’s job in battle is to heal allies using special skills. They are usually armed with a Shotgun or Machine Gun.
- Sniper. Long-range shooter with a sniper rifle. Armored does not live well in short-range skirmishes when armed with a hand grenade launcher.
The game has a lot of different operators for each class. You can unlock them for in-game currency, which is earned in battles.
Also, each operator has his appearance, weapons, skills, and chain of improvements that will unlock as he develops.
The idea of the game “Caliber” in PVP
Two teams of 4 players of different classes appear on opposite sides of the map. The task is to destroy all the opponents. You must act cohesively: each operator must perform their jobs competently, whether treatment or support with barrage fire.
A neutral zone appears on the map after a while if the battle drags on. You can capture it in a few seconds by sneaking in. This will mean victory in the round. Battles last until 3 wins.
Character icons are almost always visible on the map, so the player knows where the enemy is 50% of the time. In this regard,
Caliber gameplay is more mixed towards tactical confrontation and coordinated teamwork. Shooting skills are less necessary than proper planning of your actions and squad chemistry.
PVE missions in Caliber
In PVE missions, players often sweep regions from complex enemy bots or rescue hostages. But do not underestimate the artificial enemies in this game. If the team does not act well-coordinated and squad members start to slack off, the bots will quickly deal with them.
The player receives currencies, resources, and containers as a reward for any battles. This is needed to buy new operators, improve them and customize their appearance.
Effect of Donation
Donation in Caliber does not provide any benefits other than speeding up the pumping of the account and the rate of earning in-game currencies. However, you can obtain every present by playing the game.
What else is interesting in Caliber
The game present is ranked battles, which become available with 15 levels of the account and operator (taken about 1-2 days game). Developers often hold seasonal events with excellent rewards. For example, on New Year’s Eve 2021-2022, in the chain “Common Cause” players were invited to collect gifts in battles. In the end, everyone received a key to hiring a top operator of any class.
There are also some “Contracts” for passive currency earning. For example, you can outfit a squad of several operators, send them on a mission, and return a few hours later to collect the reward.
Caliber is a one-of-a-kind third-person team shooter. This game is suitable for those who want to bring more “variables” into the confrontation with real players.
