A relatively free-to-play military shooter Warface was released in 2012. In that time, cooperative battles have become its hallmark. In 2019, two global updates, Mars and Hydra, were installed. As a result, the range has been completely updated; a new class and two paid additions are partly related to new special operations. Gamers believe that now is the right time to return to the game to experience the full power of the updated gameplay. Is it worth talking about the new guns, rifles, machine guns, and other weapons and equipment that have appeared recently?
A brief overview of the opposing forces and game classes
The storyline hasn’t changed. The private military corporation Blackwood continues a series of conflicts in different parts of the world. Warface opposes it under the command of General Lee Wharton. The purpose of special operations is to free people, their salvation from cruel experiments on their bodies and minds.
All fighters have classification:
- Stormtrooper – universal, suitable for any battle, excellent with machine guns, machine guns;
- Medic – he armed with a shotgun and the ability to renew teammates (except for the new robot SED);
- Engineer – the main saboteur in the team, able to place/disarm bombs in any places, reanimate Sed;
- Sniper – an all-rounder capable of destroying the enemy from a long distance; three types of sniper rifles are prepared for him;
- SED – armored robotic fighter, armed with a grenade launcher and a heavy machine gun. Distinguished by a low reserve of health, medicines can not bring him back to life, but the engineer can repair it and return to operation.

Robot Sed is not a premium class. Instead, it’s available before the game starts. Weapons are purchased for in-game currency. To earn it, you need to perform several special operations successfully.
Pros and cons of the game
One big and indisputable plus is that the game is constantly updated, and new missions for teams appear every day.
Other advantages include the following:
- Free access – no need to look for pirated versions; use the developer’s website to start getting missions and play.
- Realistic graphics – small details are carefully drawn, which immerses the player in an atmosphere of realism.
- A massive selection of weapons and uniforms. You can even start collecting guns and creating your arsenal. The variety of locations and ammunition delights even experienced players.
- They are conducting annual team tournaments (yes, since 2018, Warface has been a cyber discipline) with large cash prizes.
Interesting fact! The first Warface tournament was held on September 2, 2018. The main prize was the sum of 12 million rubles. There was a lot of music and more than 12 thousand spectators at the festival. The team TooManyQuestions won.
There are also disadvantages, because of which the team shooter loses fans:
- DONATION! Presented a wide variety of features for an additional fee. Players complain that it is impossible to achieve heights without donation. It should be a wake-up call to developers that many gamers are leaving the game because of competitors who perform at the desired sizes not by skill but by paying extra.
- Game Audience. Any shooter, primarily a team shooter, evokes unique emotions in players. They often turn into aggression, expressed in unpleasant remarks and threats against online rivals. PvE missions and ranking matches
This year was full of updates and new PvE missions. Since April, the corporation-manufacturer has been delighting gamers with new products:
- Gorgon Battle Pass was launched in April;
- Military Craft update was prepared and released for the May holidays. As a result, the possibility of crafting weapons and uniforms was added, and the technical capabilities of the movement were improved;
at the end of May, the paid console branch of Warface: Breakout was launched. The franchise is optimized for gamepads and focused on the classic competitive mode; - July saw the launch of Battle Pass Dark Samurai;
- At the end of September, the Battle Pass “Rebellion”.
Introduced at the end of 2017, the Battle Royale mode allowed gamers to try their strength, put themselves to the test and achieve victory over 32 players. As of today, the mode is not yet available. But fans hope it will return.
PvP-mode has more than 60 maps of different locations. Some appear only at the time of rating matches, and others are permanent. The battles have the right to participate in two teams (5 people each) who have reached level 26.
Battles are held in “Blast” mode on random maps. The player can not leave the fight until it is not completed. Otherwise, he and his team lose ranking points and face penalties. The maps can be found on the game’s official website.
