What is the Pink Nickname
To draw the attention of all players to a user who has been recorded unsportsmanlike behavior, his nickname is colored pink in the following cases:
- when systematically shelling allied ships;
- inactivity during the battle;
- in cases of early withdrawal from combat.
Friendly Fire
Battles in World of Warships, by the efforts of developers, are maximally close to natural conditions, so shells and torpedoes will hit and cause damage not only to opponents but also to allies.
Such events occur mostly by accident, for example, when an allied ship is on the path of torpedoes, which is typical for destroyers.
Realizing this specificity, the developers have provided several barriers:
- The first time an allied ship is hit, the player who hit it receives a notification asking him to stop firing alone.
- If friendly fire continues, all hits are counted, and the nickname is colored pink when the following indicators are reached in one battle:
- 40 hits on one ally;
- Fifty hits on different allies.
- Experience and credits for the battle in which the warning was received are not awarded.
- In future battles, when hitting an ally, the player himself will receive damage that increases with each successive hit and depends on the firepower of the offender.
- If the battle is repeated with similar negative statistics, the player will remain available only part of the modes:
- cooperative;
- clan;
- training modes.
AFK
The behavior of a user operating destroyers, cruisers, and line ships will be considered unsportsmanlike in the following cases:
- insufficient distance traveled;
- not taking part in the capture or defense of strongholds;
- no damage was inflicted on the opponents from any weapon other than auxiliary caliber (ASM).
For an aircraft carrier, inactivity is defined as:
- failure to destroy enemy aircraft;
- no damage to the enemy (ramming and ASMs are not counted);
- no plane was lost.
If one or more of the conditions are met, the AFK is not counted, otherwise the nickname is colored pink.
Leave Matches Early
Various situations are possible in life, including:
- disconnection from the server;
- power outages in your apartment;
- other circumstances that forced you to leave the fight.
But according to World of Warships rules, the total duration of such circumstances should not exceed 25% of the battle duration, as otherwise early withdrawal from the match with pink coloring of your nickname will be counted.
How Long Will the Nickname Be Pink in 2024
To restore your reputation and remove your nickname’s pink coloring, you must play several cooperative battles against bots, following the community’s rules.
The number of “corrective” battles is not exactly defined and if the rehabilitation process is delayed, it makes sense to contact the support team with a question.
