Daring
One of the most potent destroyers is the Daring, which was in service with the British Navy.
The advantages of this ship are:
- High firepower of 6 main caliber guns, arranged in three twin turrets, due to:
- an incredible rate of fire of 21.43 rounds per minute;
- good damage for its class;
- improved automatic rebound of armor-piercing ammunition and a reduced detonator timer.
- Good survivability, thanks to the availability of two repair kits.
- Five torpedo tubes per board, capable of firing single shots.
- 7-charge smoke generator with a high recovery rate.
The Daring’s weaknesses are as follows:
- lengthy reloading of torpedo tubes;
- mediocre cloaking at 7.37 kilometers;
- low top speed of 35 km/h;
- mediocre protection against air raids;
- fumes have a short duration of action.
In general, the British destroyer is very good, but low speed and high visibility create difficulties in approaching the enemy.
St. Vincent
The best British line ship is the St. Vincent.
The main strengths of the British “floating fortress” are:
- High firepower of nine main caliber guns, which have the following characteristics:
- reloading in 30 seconds;
- an angular rate of rotation of 6 degrees per second;
- a firing range of 20.5 kilometers;
- 7,100 damage with high-explosive shells and 1,4900 with armor-piercing shells;
- sigma value of 1.6;
- one torpedo tube on each side.
- High speed of 32.5 knots for a battleship, increased by three 8% engine supercharges.
- Good survivability, thanks to a combination of:
- 79400 base strength;
- the availability of specialized repair crews;
- reduced citadel location relative to the waterline;
- good stealth for a battleship (16.2 km).
The weaknesses of the St. Vincent, which should be taken into account when developing a battle strategy, are:
- weak armor fore and aft;
- weak defense against torpedoing;
- weak air defense, requiring allied support;
- a gentle turning radius of 970 meters.
The main tactics when fighting the British St. Vincent are flank attacks from medium range in company with a cruiser equipped with good air defense.
Annapolis
The best American cruiser with super-ship status is the Annapolis.
Among the main advantages of this combat vessel should be noted:
- The high striking power of twelve guns of the main caliber has the following characteristics:
- rate of fire of 10.91 rounds per minute;
- a rate of rotation of 9 degrees per second;
- a maximum range of 16.22 kilometers;
- The high trajectory of fire allows firing under the cover of islands.
- Powerful radar system.
- Not bad for the elongated size of the stealth (13.58 km).
- We have reduced fire on deck.
- It’s a good air defense system.
The obvious disadvantages of the American cruiser are:
- elongated silhouette;
- 27 mm armor thickness;
- the vulnerability of the citadel;
- not the most extended range and difficulty in navigating on the move;
- lack of torpedo tubes.
The increased number of gun turrets makes this ship an excellent support vessel, capable of holding capture points or directing a barrage of fire at an enemy whose fire is concentrated on an allied battleship.
Stalingrad
The best cruiser in World of Warships is the Soviet Stalingrad, a premium ship.
The advantages of this ship are:
- Best survivability among cruisers due to the combination of:
- 72450 strength;
- thick armor (50 mm) on the deck and mid-ship;
- torpedo defense system;
- 180-mm citadel defense.
- High speed of 35 knots.
- Excellent firepower due to:
- 4,500 and 9,200 damage for high-explosive and armor-piercing shells, respectively;
- a rate of fire of 2.86 rounds per minute;
- a range of 20.35 kilometers;
- high hit accuracy due to a sigma of 2.65.
- Availability of defensive fire with increased duration.
- Availability of 12-km radar.
Among the weaknesses to be considered:
- the high location of the citadel;
- mediocre camouflage (17.58 kilometers);
- terrible controllability;
- double the duration of the fires.
Despite the citadel’s clumsiness and vulnerability, Stalingrad is able to withstand massive shelling and return fire, causing lethal consequences for most enemy ships.
Yamato
The Japanese battleship Yamato is the most formidable opponent of all ships in WoWs.
The advantages of this ship are:
- Superior firepower of nine 460mm guns due to:
- a rate of fire of two rounds per minute;
- an angular velocity of 3 degrees per second;
- a range of 26.63 kilometers;
- a maximum projectile dispersion of 275 meters.
- Excellent survivability, thanks to the thick belt armor of the hull and high strength.
- It’s a good air defense system.
- High protection of gun turrets.
The disadvantages should be considered:
- the possibility of reduced accuracy at high dispersion;
- low turret rotation speed;
- large linear dimensions;
- oversized citadel.
Despite a number of disadvantages, Yamato is rightfully considered the most survivable and destructive ship in World of Warships, capable of working in a team or facing any opponent alone.
