Due to the specific installation, incorrect uninstallation of the game can lead to incomplete removal of all interconnected content and the appearance of an error, which causes some files to remain on the computer and be inaccessible.

All Files of the WOT

How to Correctly Uninstall WOT
The sequence of actions when deleting World of Tanks depends on the completeness of the release of disk storage from permanent and temporary files.
Via Game Center
The sequence of actions is as follows:
- Go to Game Center and select the World of Tanks tab.
- Go to the game settings and click on “Delete Game”.
- Confirm the operation and specify the reason for not continuing to use it.
- Wait for the process to complete.
When using Game Center, in addition to the game client, additional files and cache must be deleted, after which you can delete the integrator wargaming.net by selecting the appropriate item.
Via Control Panel
If using Game Center to uninstall World of Tanks failed due to an error or application crash, you need to use the control panel by following the steps below:
- Click the “Start” button and go to the “Options” section.
- Select “Applications and Features”, find “World of Tanks” in the list of installed programs (the name may be different), and click on the name of the LKM.
- In the window that opens, select the “Uninstall” button and wait for the operation to complete, confirming the continuation of the operation if necessary.
This method removes only the game client, leaving some files in the directory of the game, which will need to be removed manually, confirming the rights of the administrator.
Deleting WoT Manually
To delete World of Tanks in manual mode, you must click on the folder with the files of the game client and select the line “Delete”, confirming, if necessary, the administrator’s powers.
Deleting Additional World of Tanks Files in 2025
Additional files are located in a folder hidden for viewing. To go to which, you will need to:
- Hold down the “Win” key, press “R” and type “%AppData%” in the line of the opened window.
- You will need to confirm administrator rights and go to the hidden directory “Roaming”, where there is a directory “Wargaming.net”, which must be deleted by clicking on the PCM and selecting “Delete”.
Cleaning the Registry after World of Tanks
To clean the registry, you should use a specialized program, for example, CCleaner, running which you need to perform the following operations:
- Select the registry optimization section.
- Scan the registry for problems.
- Eliminate the issues identified, including all lines with a link to WoT.
Alternatively, the Registry Finder program can be used, which must be run with administrator privileges, after which it will require:
- Select “Search” (magnifying glass icon) in the open program window.
- Enter “World of Tanks” into the search line.
- Search for all registry lines related to WoT.
- Delete all found registry lines.
