Special Operation “Sunrise” in Warface. Updated Guide in 2025

Spec-Ops Sunrise in Warface Full Guide

Special operation “Sunrise” in Warface was added at the end of 2018. The place of action is Japan. The mission’s peculiarity is that the central part must be completed in stealth mode.

Events occur on an abandoned island in the Pacific Ocean near Japan. There, Blackwood organized a laboratory. Earlier, there was a nuclear disaster, so everywhere you can find radioactive and poisonous clouds, you need to avoid them. An energy dome was created over the island. According to intelligence reports, Blackwood scientists are developing the latest space weapons.

The player’s task is to sneak into the control system and disable it, so that the Euro-Alliance can strike the island and disrupt Blackwood’s plans. But there are too many guards here, who are seriously armed, so the mission is recommended to pass in stealth mode.

Tasks and Missions

The special operation is divided into 8 stages. It can be played in solo mode or co-op. The best choice of player classes:

  • sniper;
  • stormtrooper;
  • medic;
  • engineer.

There is no optimal group, choose from your own preferences. However, take into account that some stages are desirable to pass in stealth mode for additional achievements.

Landing on the Shore

Warface Sunrise Guide

The mission starts with a landing on the shore of the island. Next are some stairs: Blackwood stormtroopers are located there. There is also the first rendezvous point. This stage can be passed without stealth. The task is to get to the energy gate.

Outpost

The player has access to a UAV, which shows the location of all enemies on the map. You need to sneak between them stealthily:

  • first, destroy the stormtrooper to the left of the tent on the upper level;
  • destroy the enemy that is located a level down from the tent;
  • There are 5 more stormtroopers at the courtyard’s entrance. You must remove them simultaneously so they don’t have time to raise the alarm.

If the alarm is raised, a helicopter will come and drop some SEDs. Then you need to disable the energy gate, which will open the entrance to the courtyard.

Courtyard Defense

The stealthy passage is not necessary. Right after the gate, there are 2 energy shields: you must hide behind them and shoot from SED and enemies with jetpacks. In total, there will be 5 waves. There is no need to hurry; keeping your health and armor is the main thing. The task is to get deep into the courtyard.

Outpost with Turrets

The next stage is a long corridor in the open air. The opponents are SEDs and automatic turrets. An energy shield is recommended. However, the player can not shoot and move slowly when using it, so they need partners’ help.

If you play solo, you must first disarm the turrets and stealthily move along the corridor to the new outpost. At the end – turn left- is a control panel for the energy dome. After disconnecting it, the path to the backbone opens. There is also a new checkpoint and a short story scene.

Backbone

First, you need to turn off the energy dome that covers the turrets and 2 groups of enemies on the bridge. Among them are enemies with grenade launchers, which must be destroyed first.

After reaching the collection point, a UAV will be available: you can see the location of all enemies. The stage should be passed in stealth mode. On the path between the rocks, there are groups of 2 or 3 enemies. You need to kill them simultaneously.

Right after the trail is the Blackwood complex—the final target for the Warface assault group; here, the enemies are turrets, stormtroopers, and grenade launchers. There are no energy shields, so you need to destroy all enemies as quickly as possible. It is essential to avoid green clouds: they are toxic and cause damage, ignoring protection from armor.

The task is to fight your way to the iron gate. There is a helipad located there, there will be 4 waves of attack. The opponents are SEDs with jetpacks. They can be shot down right in the air, but for this you will need a grenade launcher.

Updated SED

Sunrise Warface New Guide

After entering the gate, a helicopter will drop a capsule on the ground. Inside is an upgraded SED. He is faster, more aggressive, and resistant to melee damage. To destroy him, you need to rip out his spine. Best tactic:

  • fire assault rifles until the SED is disabled;
  • at which point your partner runs up behind him, rips off his armor;
  • repeat.

The SED is armed with a grenade launcher, so you need to use cover, shooting the enemy from different sides to divert his attention to yourself each time. After destroying the SED, the entrance to the Blackwood complex opens.

Complex

The Warface group gets into the elevator. While it rises, the location of the enemies is shown. In total – 5 soldiers, you need to get rid of them in stealth mode. You can sneak by sticking to the wall on the left.

Next is the hangar, which is the most challenging part of stealth. You can bypass all of them only when playing solo. If in a group, it is recommended to storm the enemy. The enemies are SED and stormtroopers. The task is to get to the elevator, where the next gathering point is located.

Sunrise Warface Updated Guide

On the top floor is a laboratory where modernized SEDs are assembled. You will have to fight with them. The room is small, so you must lure the SED closer to the center to attack from behind. As before, to destroy the robot, you must first rip off its armor and then its spin—next – another elevator and the final stage of the special operation.

Boss

The final boss in the mission is an improved version of the SED, who also needs to rip out the spine. But he is hidden behind two layers of armor. The boss is armed with a flamethrower, and Blackwood stormtroopers come to his aid from time to time. The primary advice is to keep moving. The architecture of the room where the battle takes place will change. The walls, which can be used as shelters, will be low.

Tips for Special Operations in 2025

Key tips:

  • sniper is more accessible to play;
  • use grenade launchers from chests only on modified SED and the final boss;
  • do not use turrets: they make the enemy immediately raise the alarm;
  • actively use energy shields to get closer to enemy turrets;
  • Take a rifle or pistol with a silencer and a katana to the mission: it is impossible to pass stealth stages without them.

“Ascent” is a linear mission. But in the initial stages there is an opportunity to independently lay the route to avoid collisions with enemies. The locations of enemies need to be constantly monitored with the help of UAVs.
