The process of downloading, registering, and installing the game is nothing complicated, but some players encounter difficulties at this stage. Therefore, we have made a separate full-fledged guide to registration and installation of Crossout. It also presents the current minimum and recommended system requirements!
Garage in Crossout
As part of the Crossout guide, it is impossible not to talk about the garage: it is essential. Play the role of the player’s ” home, ” where you can create your cars and craft and test your creations. There is also a menu in the main window that opens access to the interface windows:

- in-game store;
- blueprints exhibition;
- seasons with particular tasks for gamers;
- the amount of gasoline left in the tank;

You just need to click on the desired item to open the required menu.

A detailed description of each of these resources is available in the game.
Types of Battles and Game Modes
PvP missions, every-man-for-himself battles, and PvE raids are available in the game. The outcome of any fight depends on your experience, teamwork (except “every man for himself”), and the effectiveness of the crafting you use.
Raids
All game modes can be viewed on the world map. The game has many PvE activities, but only a few are usually available. Depending on the complexity of the task, you can earn such resources:
- simple – copper;
- medium – copper or plastic;
- high – copper or electronics parts.
The difficulty of the raid affects the strength of the enemy. Note that the battle involves a group of four people. Several types are available:
- Protecting the base from bot attacks.
- Stealing resources or escorting them to a safe place.
- Clearing the territory and destroying the boss.
Raids in many ways resemble those in MMORPGs. You just get from one point to another, while dealing with opponents. It is not necessary to participate in them, you can get resources in other ways. To open access to the raid you will have to spend gasoline.
Clan Wars
These usually open in the evening, as they are held regularly. The total number of participants is 8. Opponents are selected randomly depending on the league. We advise you to use the most upgrade-up crafting here, starting with 10 thousand power points.
The best clans with the most points are given uranium ore. This resource is considered extremely expensive but allows for crafting relic weapons.
Bedlam
This location was opened after the Mechanics’ reputation reached level 10. This mode is a mass confusion—everyone fights each other. There are no timers or rewards. Bedlam is suitable for testing new equipment or just for fun. The maps here are standard locations that change periodically.
Polygon
Here, you can instead train and watch your vehicle in action and improve your shooting skills, but this is not a mode in the classic view. Once a day, there are crafts of friends’ creations controlled by AI. You can earn resources here.
Adventure
In Cooperative PvE mode, the events unfold on the “Bloody Rocks.” You can freely move around the area; there are no timers. You can play alone or with friends. The power of the enemy depends on your armored vehicle. You must complete tasks; some are completed once, and others appear periodically.
Other Modes
Let’s also highlight the remaining modes where you can earn various rewards:
- Battle Royale. The format familiar to shooters is present here as well. Initially, you are given crafts without weapons, and improvements are scattered around the map. The last survivor wins. You still have to watch the safe zone, which is constantly shrinking.
- Invasion. A team of three players enters the battle with the Leviathans. Resources will be given to you for winning.
- Giant Black Scorpions is a scuffle in Deathmatch mode on small crafts with the Scorpion booster.
- Patrol. It is an alternative to PvP missions for those who want to fight bots.
- Racing. Several different modes with their vehicle requirements are presented.
There is also a mode called “Combat” in which you don’t get rewards and can’t do quests. But it allows you to gather teams and start fighting according to your own rules.
Building and Customizing the Machine
Assembly in Crossout may initially seem complicated for a beginner, but gradually, it will cease to raise questions. The main thing is to understand its basic principles.
Read more about building top cars in a separate article!
Upgrades and Development
When you create an account and start playing, you will have a primary faction of Mechanics. It is impossible to leave it, so you will have to start with it. The reputation level affects the number of parts that can be used for assembly – no more than 80. You will also receive specific components.
To upgrade, you just need to take part in battles. The further you advance, the more parts are available for crafting. Accordingly, the opportunities for improving the car will expand.
You will be able to change the faction after reaching the 10th level. Each has unique rewards. They are given when you reach certain levels. Rewards are known in advance so you can find your maximum benefit. By the way, factions are allowed to change once a day.
More about the factions in Crossout you can learn more in a separate article: Ultimates faction guide.
As you can see, upgrades are enough just to play actively. However, it still takes time for the process to be accelerated. Donate helps to develop the account more effectively and faster, although buying not gold but ready-made sets is more correct. Another way to speed up is to buy a subscription for the required period. It will increase the amount of experience and resources you get.
Crossout Economy
The game has a market that allows players to trade with each other. You can put up parts and resources and then set prices for them. All operations there are performed exclusively for in-game currency and a 10% commission is also charged. To interact with the market, open the card of a part or resource in the warehouse or find the “Market” section.
Crafting for a newcomer to Crossout may seem complicated; however, it is not. It allows you to improve machines according to your preferences. For example, you can create parts. To do this, you need to rent a machine with a blueprint (for coins) and have enough resources.
You can assemble cars yourself, which allows you to pick the best combinations just for your playing style. The game itself will prompt the rules that must be adhered to in the process.
Seasons and Season Pass
The game has regular seasons that offer unique rewards. A roaming faction appears with distinctive variants of weapons, cabs, and other parts to customize your vehicle. Visual bonuses like avatars are also available. All of this is added to Crossout later, after about six months. On the other hand, the season allows you to take cool bonuses earlier.
To increase the level of the season requires regular participation in battles, completing daily and weekly tasks. But the full package of bonuses will get only to those users who bought a pass. They will receive at least one copy of new equipment, while the rest are forced to craft.
Battle Tips
We would like to give newcomers some tips to make it much easier for them to master the game.
- If you put a generator, barrel, or ammo, protect them with a good layer of armor. Otherwise, you can earn colossal damage.
- If you spot a generator, barrel, or ammo set, hit it first.
- She fired coolers, generators, radars, and so on, which became inoperable and useless. Stow them under armor.
- If you leave the battle before it ends, your resources will be severely reduced, and you will not be given gasoline and other items.
- If you press Backspace, you will start preparing to blow up the car. This will allow you to inflict high damage on nearby enemies.
Use the above tips, and the game will leave extremely positive emotions. You will be able to quickly master all the subtleties, coming out victorious from any battle.
