How to Sell Ships and Upgrades in World of Warships in 2024

How to Sell a Ship on World of Warships

The number of places in the port for docking warships in World of Warships is limited, and for the technical progress of available weapons, you need to buy and pump all new ships.

If you have free cash or gold game doubloons, you can afford to buy additional combat unit slots and replenish your squadron. Still, this method is not available or acceptable to everyone.

How to Sell Ships in World of Warships
Sell a Ship on WoWs

To sell ships, all you need to do is:

  1. Go to the port and click the PCM on its image in the carousel after selecting the required ship.
  2. In the context menu, select the item “Sell”.
  3. In the opened window, it will be necessary to decide the fate:
  • installed modules;
  • existing improvements;
  • the ship’s commander.

The cost of selling the ship will be only half of the funds that were spent on its purchase and development, and exclusively in credits.

Sale with Modules

The possibility to remove and save modules in the player’s Upgrades appears only after reaching the 15th level of access for the Port building. Until then, they are automatically sold together with the ship.

Moving modules to the warehouse makes sense when they are significantly developed to save credits. Otherwise, it is better to get additional funds for a new purchase.

Whether to Remove Improvements When Selling

After the appearance of the possibility of their storage, dismantling modifications will require 50 doubloons, which must be earned or purchased for real money.

Removal of improvements for their subsequent installation is only reasonable if they are significantly pumped and the total cost is 500000 credits or more. Otherwise, the expenditure of gold coins will be unreasonable.

Whether to Fire the Commander

There are four options for a ship captain when selling a ship:

  1. Discharge to the reserve, which is available if slots are available.
  2. Dismissal:
  • without experience retention, which is free of charge;
  • dismissal with 25% or 100% experience will need to be paid depending on the number of commander’s skills with credits or doubloons, respectively.

It is not rational to dismiss a commander whose hiring cost is 25 gold coins, so the most reasonable solution is to send him to the reserve for later use.
