How to Pass the Quest “The Gig: Underground” in 2024
It is essential to understand that the main actions occur in locations controlled by stalkers, and bandits will have a hard time. It is also worth learning how to get to the issuance of the main quest.
After receiving instructions, go to the mark on the map for the character Firebrand. It’s not hard to find him, as in the fog, you can see the lights of his candles. After a short dialog, it turns out that Firebrand’s brother, Splinter, has died, and presumably, Hystrix killed him.
Return to the bar, talk to the Captain, and ask the bartender about Hystrix. The bartender will help (but not for free). After speaking, find many details from the locals and return to Firebrand.
After all the runs, you will be sent to the bunker, and the main task of the quest line will appear: “The Gig: Underground.”
What to Expect from the Bunker
Before going to the dungeon, you should think carefully about your equipment. The completion is not easy, especially considering the main enemy, the Bloodsucker. Stocking up on resources or going in a group is recommended. A stock of grenades will make it much more manageable.
Inside, immediately examine the table and then move on. As you move forward, shoot monsters and other enemies. You will see a truck at the end, which can be the key to victory. Below is one of the battle options:
- Climb on the truck
- Aim at the pipes above the pit
- Throw grenades so that their trajectory aligns with the indentation in the wall.
- Then, go down into the pit and kill the Bloodsucker with the shotgun; it is the most effective.
Where to Go Next
Next, examine Splinter’s corpse and jump into the anomaly ball. In the small room, explore and take everything you find. In particular, the backpack is the final proof of Hystrix’s guilt.
After completing the mission, you’ll be given two options on where to go. First, you can go straight to Fire and tell the truth. Or you can first go back to Hystrix and “beat” the confession.
If you talk to Hystrix first, still go to Ognjenok, but now there are two options: the truth about the murder or the lie that Splinter never existed.
Rewards and Conclusion
Depending on your character choice, the prize will be one of two weapons:
- Firebrand`s RPD. It will remain a reward if you tell the questmaster the truth about your brother.
- Hystrix’s RPD. This is given by an assassin who admits he bribed everyone but will try to justify himself with murky excuses. Play along with Hystrix and lie to get what you want.
