Getting the Quest to Kill the Ripper
To get the quest to kill the Ripper, you must first complete the Captain’s quest and reach level 7 of the Bar. The quest is called “Photographer”. It is taken from the Reporter.
How to Find the Ripper’s Lair
The quest stretches from Ahab, whom the player meets for the first time on the Kordon, performing “Kill Keith”. At one point, Ahab will ask you to find Warsaw’s squad in the burial ground – using a scanner and detector. It will be necessary to search all the corpses, after which they will return to Ahab.

- Tell the truth to Mustafa, but then Ahab will die – Mustafa will ambush him. The player will receive 15k rubles, parts, and tools.

Protecta, Ripper, or Something Else?
The Ripper is a good weapon at first. It’s good enough for the first part of the main story. But as soon as the player gets to the North, he will have to farm in places where mutants have much more HP, and then the gun starts to be inferior to Breacher or Chiappa.
Breacher kills most mutants with a single shot, it reloads faster, fires faster and has a smaller shot spread than the Ripper.

- Maximum range – 84 meters;
- Rate of fire – 240 rounds per minute;
- Reloading – 3.8 seconds;
- Tactical reload (alternative mode) – 3.8 seconds.
On the other hand, the Ripper reloads very quickly – unlike the Bricker (in its case, you have to leave one cartridge in the clip to speed up reloading) or the Chiappa.
Finally, there is Protecta. This is the one that all players usually switch to. It looks like this:
