“Hunting Couriers” is a Freeman’s Chain quest.
You need to find Freeman’s couriers and neutralize them on it.
The quest is, to put it bluntly, problematic. Otherwise we would not have written this guide. Because of the unpredictable spawning players can not always find the right NPCs – sometimes it takes dozens of hours. Literally.

How to Start the Quest
The quest line starts at the Boathouse (Swamps) at Varg’s place. The first mission is to kill the Light One and his group. Next, in fact, will go hunting for couriers.
This is a side mission: you can choose not to do it, but then you won’t be able to progress through the quest chain. Although some of its tasks are difficult, long (and even tedious), it is better to close it after all. At least based on the reward: at the end, during the negotiations between Varg and Freeman, you can get either Freeman’s AKS-74u or Tactical AKS-74u.

Where to Find Couriers in 2024
The quest involves a long run. It is not a quick one. Moreover, it is better to do it in co-op – if you take a friend, the couriers will start spawning faster.
The essence of the quest is to come to a certain area and find three NPCs. And destroy them.
They spawn in the area entirely randomly (but there are still a few points where they appear more often than usual, marked by pings on the map):

Two spawns are located near a large mountain. You can’t climb it – only go around it. Another spawn is usually in a pond. At least, many players find couriers there. There is also an opinion that spawn is more active at night.
But these are just player observations and theories.
In any case, spawning frequency is terrible – sometimes, you must wander around the neighborhood for hours. There is no universal recipe for passing, but players have discovered that it is better to make a circle on the outer edge first and then move a little inside.
This way, you can cover the largest territory and increase your chances of finding NPCs.

Couriers are low on XP and lightly armed. They don’t pose much of a threat. Any medium-level weapon can deal with them in a hurry.
