The Guardian is the pre-final boss of Stalcraft. You will have to face him in the last part of the storyline, regardless of whether you play as a stalker or a bandit. Boss mechanics are not obvious, and without knowing the battle tactics, you can spend several hours fighting him. And vice versa: if you initially know how to behave in battle and properly prepare equipment, killing the Guardian in Stalcraft will not take much time.
Don't forget to redeem Stalcraft promo codes to get bonuses in the game.
But if you’re in the mood for something different, we also have War Thunder codes.
Who is a Guard in Stalcraft
The guardian player meets in the location of Radar, where he goes on a mission with Shaman and Oracle to find the base of the pioneers. Descending on the elevator to the laboratory, the player will hear a message that the emergency protocol “Guardian” is activated.
Guardian is a guardian of the base of the pioneers, designed to prevent strangers from the base of the Prince. It is a litter, that is, the resulting genetic experiments, a walking tank. Only the Guardian, unlike the usual driftwood, is modified to resist an entire group trying to infiltrate the base. The player, of course, will have to confront him alone.
Preparing for Battle
To quickly kill the Guardian in Stalcraft, first of all, you need to prepare equipment. In the battle, we will have to dodge a lot of attacks, so the key parameter here is speed. The ideal speed to kill the Guardian is 120%. If you can’t reach this speed at all, 110% will suffice, but the fight will be more complex and will probably require 5-10 attempts.
The Battery artifact is ideal, as it increases the speed and simultaneously reduces the damage from electricity, which also hits the Guardian. To compensate for the radiation from Batteries, it’s also worth adding Hedgehog to your artifact container. Of course, all artifacts and items that reduce speed will have to be removed.
Weapons are also not suitable. The fight with the Guardian takes place at medium-long range, from which you will need to hit the small flasks on the boss’s body. Therefore, in the main slot for weapons, take a high-speed sniper rifle. A shotgun or a powerful pistol in the second slot will do well for shooting snorks at close range.
It is also not superfluous to use stimulants for speed and stamina before the fight. Guardian is one of the most difficult bosses in Stalcraft, so it is pointless to save consumables on him.
How to Defeat the Guardian in Stalcraft
The Guardian is covered in heavy armor, so simply shooting at him is useless. To deal damage, shoot at the green cones on the boss’ chest and back.
Guardian Attacks
For most of the fight, the boss alternates between two types of attacks: circular and ram.
During the circular attack, the Guardian stands in one place and unleashes an electric discharge at the player. At this point, it is better to stay at medium or close range because it will be easier to dodge the laser. Running around the boss at close range, it is convenient to hit the cones with a shotgun or pistol.
A battering ram follows the circular attack. This attack consists of the fact that the boss sprawls and, with a frightening speed, carries on the player. At this point, it is better to stay away from the Guardian and shoot at the cones with your sniper rifle in between attacks.
If the player were standing near a wall during the ramming and managed to dodge, the boss would hit the wall and get stunned. At this point, it is easy to shoot down a couple of cones with a shotgun. But you should not abuse this method because the Guardian is stunned for a shorter time each time, and after the second or third stun, this tactic becomes useless.
Also, don’t forget that after coming out of stun, the boss will perform another ram, and if you stand too close at that moment, you won’t be able to dodge. The character can survive a single hit, but two in a row guarantee death.
Defense Phase
Three times per battle – at 75, 50, and 25 percent of health – the boss is covered by a protective field supported by three lights on the walls, becomes immune to damage, and begins to heal. The Guardian does not hit the player in the defense phase, but snorks appear.
In this phase, the main thing is to break the bulbs on the walls as soon as possible, from which the rays emanate, to stop the treatment of the boss. You’ll have to do it on the run to avoid getting damaged by snorks.
After all three bulbs are destroyed, the boss will return to his usual attacks, and we will only have to finish off the remaining snorks. There is no point in killing them during the defense phase because they will spawn endlessly.
Bugs with the Guard in Stalcraft
It’s not exactly a bug, but a working trick: During a boss battle, you can exit the game at any time and stop it. The player in this case will return to the checkpoint, from where you can get back into the open world. It is useful if you need to get better equipment.
Defeating the Guard
After all three defense phases are completed and all the cones on the boss’ body are broken, the Guardian finally dies. The player goes deep into the base of the pioneers, where the finale of the Stalcraft story awaits him. And we can only wish you good luck. We hope that our guide will save you time when killing this difficult boss.
