Elk’s quest is a side quest chain for stalkers. The chain consists of three quests in the spirit of “fetch-and-give” and an uncomplicated choice at the end. Where is Elk in Stalcraft
Sokhatiy is sitting in captivity in the parking lot of stalkers on Kordon.
We talk to the guard first. He tells us that he was taken prisoner when he tried to kill another stalker, which is considered a grave sin and is punishable by death. After talking to the prisoner, we find out that the stalkers who took Elk’s prisoner witnessed not a treacherous attack, but a quarrel between friends over a woman.
The only hope for rescue is to get a backpack with a diary in which his rival wrote down his plans. The NPC puts a mark on the map and wishes you good luck.
Grivtsov’s Stash
Before we run for proof of innocence, we take any scientific suit in our backpack. We’ll need protection against biological contamination of at least the first level.
After reaching the search area, we find a hole in the ground in the middle of the location. If you look from the north side, we need to move on the left edge. The location is full of anomalies, so don’t move away from the left edge or spare bolts.
After entering the hole, we find a backpack lying at the bottom of a small depression. This is Grivtsov’s stash.
Inside there will be some scrap metal, 3 first aid kits and the tablet we are looking for.
Take everything and return to the prisoner.
Romeo Minus Juliet
The captive thanks for the rescue but immediately asks for one more favor – to deliver a letter to his friend. There are no difficulties here: the game puts an exact mark on the map.
Talking to Casanova, we find out that the characters are given nicknames for a reason. Casanova gave horns to Elk and asked us to apologize. Once again, we ran through the whole location. Now, the NPC is sitting in the Dark Valley.
Broken Heart
After hearing about his beloved’s infidelity with his best friend, Elk becomes furious and asks to kill Casanova. For us, this means that we will have to go across the map to Agroprom again.
Find and Kill Casanova
The mission is difficult because Agroprom is a bandit location, and you will encounter many hostile players and NPCs guarding the location. Prepare for death and take everything out of your backpack that can drop. Upon reaching the marker, we learn that Casanova is no longer there. Search the location and find a box with a red cross.
There is a note in the box informing that Casanova has gone to the dump. It takes 2 minutes to get to the junkyard, but you’ll have to sneak through the hostile territory. When we get to the dump, we shoot the bandits on the towers and find a dead drunk Casanova.
Now, we have to make a choice: kill or spare Casanova. If we kill him, we will be rewarded by Sokhatiy, who will allow us to search his stash, but for this, we will have to cross the Cordon from edge to edge again and find the stash.
If Kazanova is spared, the reward will come by mail. However, if we let Casanova live, we won’t get the reputation. Here, everyone decides for themselves based only on their moral compass. The material reward will be 20000 rubles, 10 tools, 10 army first aid kits, and a bag of ammunition.
Why Does Elk Not Appear
On the second quest of the chain, when the player returns to the Dark Valley to Elk after the first conversation with Kazanova, many catch a bug. The essence of the bug is that Elk simply does not exist. The reasons and ways to fix this bug are unknown. If you are unlucky and Elk in the quest Romeo minus Juliet in place is not, you can only wait for the patch.
