The world of Stalcraft is open. The developers encourage players’ interest in exploration and, therefore, have hidden a lot of tasty loot, which can be found in stashes – with the help of detectors. As you progress through Stalcraft, the player will see these devices in one way or another: buy them, get them for completing quests, etc.
Newcomers usually do not worry too much about items, preferring to follow the storyline. But it would be best if you did not neglect looting – after all, pumping in MMO, which is Stalcraft, is essential.
Read on, and we will tell you all about detectors in Stalcraft.
Don't forget to redeem Stalcraft promo codes to get bonuses in the game.
But if you’re in the mood for something different, we also have War Thunder codes, World of Warships codes and World of Tanks codes.
Why You Need Detectors in Stalcraft
To search for signals.
Signals are among the few effective ways to earn and farm in Stalcraft.
You can get ammo of different types, parts for repairing equipment, and medicines from signals. We have also given special Beacons – one piece for each signal. Data fragments of other groups (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Digamma) were also collected. And in rare cases, blueprints of weapons – both meth and not quite.
The signals lead to items: barrels, boxes, crates, chests, in which NPCs once left their things and did not take those for some reason.
That’s what the local lore says.
What are the Detectors
Detectors come in wide-band and narrow-band. The first is used to search for signals, and the second is used to orient and follow them. Detectors show which direction the signal is coming from.
There are currently three types of detectors in the game.
Narrow Range:
- “Candle”;
- “Buryat.”
- “Elbrus”.
“Buryat” and “Elbrus” are also used to search for artifacts.
Wide range:
- SAK-1;
- SAK-2;
- PIONEER-3.
Where to Get Detectors in Stalcraft in 2024
“Candle Short Range Detector” is given to fulfill Professor Solyannikov’s quest for “Lead.” But this is relevant only to Stalkers.
In general, “Candle Short Range Detector” has direct upgrades in the form of “Buryat” and “Elbrus,” so it is advisable to focus on getting them. But for the first time, I will do a “Candle.”
To get “Buryat,” you need to visit a merchant. He is available at any base of any faction. In Bar, for example, his name is Spot, and he is located next to the mechanic, right next to the quest board. On the map is indicated by the icon of a wrench.
To buy “Buryat” from Spot, you will need 125 Alpha beacons, 125 Beta beacons, 25 Gamma beacons, and 100 thousand rubles.
“Elbrus” is on the drop list of Tactical and Advanced cases. You can also buy it at an exorbitant price at auction—we’re talking about 50-100 million rubles.
By the way, there is also a small chance that it will drop from the Halloween case.
How to Use Detectors in Stalcraft
You must go to the inventory, select a metal detector, and place it in the primary slot.
Watch what will appear on the screen of the scanner. The sounds should also guide you. So, if you hear buzzing quickly and see that the LED lights up more often, you are very close to the zone with loot.
Don’t forget to turn on the detector only when you hear a characteristic sound – the item wears out quickly, so there is no point in walking around with it all the time.
How to Charge the Detector
Active use (and it should be *actively* used – ideally) of the detector drains the battery quickly.
When the battery is depleted, the device becomes unusable.
But it won’t be permanently broken. It can be returned to working condition.
And it’s easy to do it: you just need to find the generator, which is located near the mechanics in safe zones, approach it, interact (F key) and drag the device from one context menu to another.
Conclusion
SAK-1 and SAK-2 detectors in Stalcraft – We briefly touched on the wide-range detectors but did not specify that SAK-2 cannot be obtained now – only SAK-1 (Professor Solyannikov’s quest). PIONEER-3 is obtained through Black Market lootboxes.
Detectors greatly facilitate the game in Stalcraft – they help to find expensive caches, the loot from which can be used to craft items or resale.
